During the week of October 8-12, we visited both the writing center and the speaking center. The writing center consultants can help students with brainstorming, editing, and revising papers, while the speaking center can help students edit/revise oral presentations and improve their communication skills. These are valuable resources, seen as we are currently transitioning from high school to college-level writing/speaking.
This semester, I have taken one of my papers to the writing center thus far. I found it to be a beneficial experience, since the peer consultant proof-read my work and gave me a few tips for improvement. I plan to take in my research paper draft later this month.
